Booking Accessible Tickets
We kindly ask that you please get in contact as early as possible to book your accessible tickets, as our accessibility area tends to fill up very quickly.
To book accessible tickets, please email accessibility.tramshed@tegvenues.com with the following information:
- The name of the event you are attending.
- Whether you require a complimentary PA ticket, a seat, a wheelchair space, or any further requirements.
- Your order number (this is found in your confirmation email after purchasing your general admission ticket).
We then ask for a photocopy/scan of:
- DLA/PIP letter/Blue badge
- Attendance Allowance Letter
- War Disablement Pension
- Evidence that registered severely sight impaired
- Recognised Assistance Dog ID card
- Access card
- Hynt Card
Rest assured, we understand the significance of every customer’s experience, and we are committed to providing an inclusive environment for all guests. So, if this isn’t something you’re able to provide, please let us know.
We will then confirm this has been booked via email to you.
Personal Assistant (PA) ticket conditions
We provide one complimentary PA ticket per ticket holder who requires assistance. Please note PA tickets are not sent out in advance –please let the staff scanning tickets on the night know you are on the accessibility list and they will help you from there.
PA ticket holders should be able to support the person they are accompanying throughout their visit. It is essential that the PA ticket holder can provide assistance to the ticket holder in the event of an emergency. Please let us know as early as possible that you will require a PA ticket as you will not be able to request a PA ticket for an already sold-out show. PA tickets are also not included as part of a VIP/Meet and Greet package ticket.
Seated viewing area: what to do on the day
If you have confirmed seating or a wheelchair space for an event, please let staff scanning tickets on the door know that you are on the accessibility list, and they will issue you a wristband which allows you into the seated area. This area is only for those who have reserved seating to ensure views and experiences are not interrupted. You do not have to stay in this area all night and you are welcome to come and go as you wish, please just note that the seating within this area is a first come first serve basis for wristband holders on the night.
The area is monitored by security throughout the event, who are always willing to help. If you do not require the seats closer to the date or on the evening, please let us know so they can be offered to somebody else with accessibility needs.
Venue Description
Tramshed has level access throughout the venue and courtyard. A lift is available from the ground to first floor – if you require the lift, please ask security on the night who will be happy to show you where to go. The first floor has a bar, toilets and cloakroom.
We have two accessible toilets:
Ground floor – located in the Waiting Room by the stairs.
First floor – located 32m from the viewing area.
Management are equipt with Radar keys and the toilets have alarm systems.
Parking
There is on street parking directly adjacent to the venue and on Pendyris street. According to the City of Cardiff Council’s website, those with a blue badge can park in all pay and display parking bays for free of charge for as long as necessary – please note this parking is not associated with the venue and will be subject to availability. There are also 2 more blue badge bays a short distance from Tramshed: Jubilee Street (By Post Office) – 0.2 Miles to Tramshed.
Assistance Dogs
Assistance dogs are welcome to the venue, we just ask that you please let us know in advance if you’re attending with one so we can ensure your visit is as smooth as possible.
We can provide water bowls, and in some cases an alternative space for your dog if the event environment isn’t suitable.

Customers with Medical Requirements
Guests may bring essential medication, food, drink, or equipment, we just ask that you please tell us in advance. In some circumstances we may be able to keep items refrigerated.
Strobe Lighting
Lighting varies by event, some events at Tramshed will have strobe lighting. Notices will be displayed if strobe lighting is in use. If you have concerns, please contact us in advance and we’ll share what we know about the event setup.
For urgent help during an event, speak to the nearest member of Security or Staff.
Is there parking?
We don’t have onsite parking, but there is street parking directly outside (council-operated, pay and display). The nearest multi-storey car park is the NCP on Wood Street, around a 10-minute walk (643m) from the venue.
Is there a drop-off / pick-up point?
Yes, directly outside the main entrance.
What is the nearest public transport?
Cardiff Central Station – 0.5 miles away.
Bus stop on Clare Road – 276ft from the venue.
Can you refund my tickets/ Can I book over the phone?
Tramshed does not handle ticketing at the Venue, therefore we do not sell tickets over the phone/ in person. Please see our ‘what’s on’ tab to purchase tickets. Whilst we will do our best to help with your ticketing enquiries, we recommend reaching out to the ticketing platform that you bought your ticket from with any refund requests or issues. Do you take cash?
Please note that Tramshed is a cashless venue. Payments at our bars and cloakroom can be made by card or contactless only.
What is your age policy?
Generally, our age policy is 14 +. Age 16 or below must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18. Some events have further age restrictions or alterations, so please check at the time of your booking.
What food options do you have near the venue?
Clare road has plenty of restaurant and take away options, otherwise we are a 5-10 minute walk/ 3-5 minute drive from the city centre, which has everything you could need. Outside food and drink is not permitted in the venue, so we recommend grabbing a bite to eat before coming to the gig.
Can I bring professional photography equipment?
Professional photography equipment is not permitted in the venue unless you are an event accredited photographer.

For a standard gig, the Waiting Room bar opens at 5pm, and doors are at 7pm. (Note this is open to change per event).
When you arrive at the box office you will be greeted by Security and then a member of staff who will scan your tickets. Please have your tickets ready to go when entering the venue to ensure a quick and easy start to your night.

Searches
To make your entry as smooth as possible, please plan ahead and travel light. Security searches are in place on the gate, and bags should be kept to a minimum. If you do need to bring one, it must be small (no larger than laptop size or a small handbag).

Venue Description:
Tramshed has level access throughout the venue. There is a lift and accessible toilets. Assistance dogs are welcome and if you would like to attend with an assistance dog we would welcome knowing in advance.
Bookable Access Facilities / Personal Assistant Ticket
We offer one complimentary Personal Assistant pass per ticket holder. PA ticket holders should be able to meet the needs and assist the person they are accompanying in the event of an emergency. After purchasing one ticket, send me your order number found in your confirmation email, and I’ll arrange the complementary PA ticket. You will be asked for evidence for the PA ticket to be issued. We ask for a photocopy/ scan (dated in last 12 months) DLA/PIP letter Attendance Allowance Letter War Disablement Pension Evidence that registered severely sight impaired Recognised Assistance dog ID card Access card We recognise that the evidence above might not include everyone that has an access requirement. Viewing Area/Platforms
If you require the use of viewing area and/or seat, please let us know in advance where possible, to ensure we are aware of your access needs. The balcony affords wheelchair users and those with mobility impairments unobstructed views. This is accessible via the lift in the lobby. We provide padded event chairs for customers to sit on during the shows if requested prior to the event. There will be a member of security monitoring this area throughout the night.
Toilets
There are 2 accessible toilets in the venue. 1 located on the ground floor in the Waiting Room by the stairs and 1 located 32m from the viewing area on the first floor.

Unfortunately the venue does not have parking but there is street parking located right outside, these spaces are council operated and are pay and display. The nearest multi-story is the NCP on Wood Street, approx. a 10 minute walk and 643meters from the venue.

Nearest public transport
We are 0.5 miles from Cardiff Central Train station and there is a bus stop located on Clare Road which is 276ft away from the venue.
Arrival Guide Box Office
When you arrive at the box office you will be greeted by a member of staff who will check you in. If you are collecting a personal assistant ticket please make sure your tickets are out to be inspected and let the member of staff know this has been arranged for you. Customers who require the accessible viewing area will be greeted at the door by security and given a wristband – they will then be shown to the balcony (either via stairs or lift if required). There will be a member of security at the entrance to the area all night.
Could we provide early entrance upon request?
If you believe you may need early entrance to the venue due to your accessibility requirements please email us on accessibility.tramshed@tegvenues.com to discuss this.
Customer with Medical Requirements
We welcome customers who may need to bring medications, food, drink or medical equipment to manage a medical condition. We may be able to keep medication refrigerated for you, so just let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate. You’ll need to contact us in advance should you need to bring any of these items. Contact accessibility.tramshed@tegvenues.com if concerned If an emergency arises during an event please approach the closest member of staff and they will be able to help you.
Access to Performance
Tramshed is not currently equipped with a hearing induction loop but this is something we are looking at bringing into the venue soon. At present we do not offer any assisted performance options, but this is something we are exploring. We do have a lowered area of the bar in our upstairs bar which is located close to the viewing area, but our staff are always willing to help in any way they can.
Assistance Dogs
We welcome assistance dogs into the venue and will happily provide a bowl of water if needed. However, not all events are suitable so please contact us beforehand. We may be able to offer a location where the dog could stay during the gig, but please get in touch to discuss this further.
Strobe Lighting
Lighting varies depending on the event but there will be signs up at the venue during the event stating if Strobe lighting will be used within a show. Please contact us and if we are aware that strobe lighting will be used in a performance we will let you know. Bars Are Card Only
For your best interests, our bars will no longer be taking cash and will be card-only. Going cashless means improved hygiene and also has the added benefit of faster service for everyone.
Safety and Security
The ongoing safety of our customers, staff and performers is of absolute paramount importance, so if you’re visiting one of our venues, please take a moment to read the below information.
Security
Our management and security teams regularly review procedure and protocol with all staff. As with every live event, all arrangements are in continuous consultation and review with local authorities and the police. There are lots of things that go on behind the scenes, too: training exercises; new security measures – so please be patient if things take a little longer than you’re used to.
Your visit
Our venues are monitored at all times, but please can we ask for your help by arriving in good time, as we carry out security searches on entry.

Travel light
Please plan ahead and do your best to travel as lightly as possible. Searches are in place, and we really don’t want to slow you down getting in. So if you really, really need to bring a bag, please make sure that it’s small, less than laptop size or just a small handbag.
